Freda Utley Economic Social Policy Institute (ESPI) of Belgrade, Serbia has won the 2007 Freda Utley Prize for Advancing Liberty. Established in 2001, ESPI conducts educational programs that promote Serbia’s transition into a modern democracy with a dynamic market economy.

The ESPI Institute was established in 2001 (by the transformation of the nongovernmental organization Group 17 into G17 Institute which changed the name into ESPI Institute – Economic and Social Policy Institute - as of 2006) as a response to significant economic and political changes that took place in Serbia.

THE 2007 SUMMER SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

Vienna and Chicago: Two Schools of Free-Market Economics

July 9th – July 20th 2007

The tenth 2007 ESPI Summer School will represent a unique opportunity for students and young scholars to deepen their understanding, as well as to broaden and update their knowledge about the role of markets in solving economic and social problems. For those who are not yet familiar either with the classical liberal tradition, Austrian and Chicago School of economics, summer school will be a good introduction.
